Since its inception in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® has been dedicated to cultivating high scholastic and ethical standards in college students, encouraging social change and providing effective advocacy. Following the organizational mission and principles instilled by our charter members, Upsilon Psi Omega Chapter is dedicated to financially supporting academic excellence and lifelong learning. The Chapter has provided more than 40 college scholarships to graduating high school students.
Upsilon Psi Omega Chapter Scholarship recipient criteria:
- An African-American male or female
- A high school senior
- Middle Tennessee resident
- Been accepted to or plan to attend a 4-year college or university
- Active in school, church, and/or community
- 2.8 cumulative grade point average or higher
